Notes
The title “BLUE” can be present or absent on both the 1971 / 1972 Australian release of this album. In some instances it can be very faded along with the image of the artist. The name of the artist however remains.
The two easiest ways of allaying confusion between these two albums are as follows.
1: The text that appears below the track listing of the vinyl centre labels.
1971 release: “ (Joni Mitchell) (Control)”
“STEREO”
1972 release: “ (Joni Mitchell) Control “
“Manufactured & Distributed by”
“WEA Records Pty. Limited”
“STEREO”
2: The text that appears on the rear of the jacket in the top left hand corner of the 1971 release only.
“Reprise stereo records can be played on today’s mono
record players with excellent results. They will last just as long
as mono records played on the same equipment, yet will reveal
full stereo sound when played on stereo record players.”
“Manufactured and Distributed under licence.”
