Good pressing, nice album aswell. All of these songs are pretty good, Emily does a good job here. Its weird hearing new material from them...like, REALLY weird. It still hasn't fully sunk into my brain that this is like, real and happening and its been a good while since this album dropped.

Good sound, very punchy and dynamic mix. My one complaint is the very fatiguing treble, especially on the hi hat. It’s extremely overpowering on “The Emptiness Machine”, which made me very nervous for the rest of the record, but it’s much less apparent on other tracks though still present. Still a fantastic return to form for LP and I’m excited to see what they do next, I recommend this pressing!

Surprised to see Bernie Grundman mastered this, was not expecting that. I have been mainly listening to the album/singles in my car, but listening to this cut on my stereo, brings the music to another level. Sounds really good, and I think this new LP album is a banger

There was an excellent comeback album, cut by Bernie, which came out in 2024, and sounded great in any version. It wasn't by The Cure. It was by Linkin Park.
-
Good pressing, bass is tight and vocals are clear. I was surprised as the one I received was pretty rough looking. I almost returned it until I listened through and found no faults. Sleeve is a let down, I didn't know other versions were gatefold.

The European petrol variant looks much better than this US sea blue imo, and it's disappointing that it isn't a gatefold. The record itself sounds pretty good though.
-
To be noted: this version is NOT a gatefold but a single sleeve jacket with no inserts. Just the standard printed insert. Clarifying for anyone like myself that has been confused on what releases of this album are gatefold and which are not.
Currently, the only gatefolds are the US/EU Indie Exclusive 'Magenta' versions and the 4 alternative cover releases from the band's website. -
Edited 6 months agoThis album really surprised me. I held off on purchasing until after I streamed it, but this might be a top 3 album for 2024 for me.
Flat, quiet vinyl. Lacquers cut by Bernie Grundman? What more can you ask for? -
