Loved this compilation! I did miss one of my faves, 'Forbidden Colors,' but honestly, it's still a solid collection.

There was a bit of noise on disc 2, but a wet clean totally fixed it. Overall, a nice pressing.

Sounds really good to my ears, but that's always super subjective

I must have got lucky. Lovely, warm and clear sound. No surface noise and it sounds like he’s in the room singing. Great stuff.

Had 3. One full of vinyl fill noise, one scratched, one with label in the middle of the grooves. Given up, cd will do.

I am very tempted by this release and was going to buy but then wondered whether it sounds any better than the 2 cd version. Has anyone done a comparison?

Obvious value in bringing these songs together...

... but the only A/B comparison I can do is the 'Secrets of the Beehive' songs. Here we see the limitations of the source versus the OG UK pressing.

My copy has a ‘Made in ’ sticker on the back cover.

Returning my second copy to Amazon, as it and the first have been mis-pressed off-centre on side one. Only noticeable when you get to “Ride”, but very obvious by that point.

Very disappointing, as the SQ is great

This album is just wonderful. Uniquely beautiful songs, great mastering and error-free pressing. Absolut great Sound. It's almost like I'm hearing the songs for the first time. Worth every penny.

The first 2 LPs generally sound good, but my third LP has some no-fill noise issues, on both sides, but more pronounced on side E than F. Glad to has this on LP, but wish all 3 LPs played back without issue. Going to be trying to exchange for another copy.

Keep your 3-CD release anyway (or hunt one down if you don't have it already), because they did not include all from it here. The following rarities from the bonus 3rd CD are missing here:

                      1) Brilliant Trees (2000 remix with new vocal),
                      2) The Blinding Light of Heaven (Sylvian/Fripp original studio version, outtake from The First Day album sessions)
                      3) The Scent of Magnolia ("Portobello mix"), that is, an equally great mix but with Steve Jansen doing the percussion programming.
                      4) The Scent of Magnolia (edit) - the released d'n'b style, but edited down for a proposed-then-deleted CD single release.

I'm curious why (t)he(y) swapped certain songs in the tracklist (probably for side length), and how it'll affect this. E.g. divorcing Godman from the nice segue to Laughter and Forgetting as it was on the original CD comp.
