The first one hundred copies ordered from Biosphere's website were signed by the artist. 1,000 copies were first pressed in 2011 and more in September 2015. Additional run pressed in January 2017. All pressings are indistinguishable.

Incredible music, but my brand new copy has terrible, persistent crackle the entire side A. Sides B, C, and D are ok. A deep ultrasonic clean made no difference to side A. Hope others are more lucky than me. -

Does anyone know the difference between the 2011 and the 2018 reprints? I notice on the bandcamp that they are sold from states 2011. -
The sound quality in my copy is outstanding, clean and virtually noiseless. The pressing and mastering seem to have been excellent given the fact that the music has extremely smooth transients and no noise disturbs the listening. Continuously cut the record is extremely enjoyable. Highly recommended. -
stands the test of time and still one of the best ambient albums ever made. so many memories attached to this. -

Edited 7 years agoall three of my copies are cut and pressed flawlessly, zero noise, no pops, no crackle, a bit like the mid 1994 Cro2 tape with the bonus of dolby B (which was unnecessary for actual BASF chromedioxide anyway ;) we ve sold about 20 copies (taken from 3 different batches) of this and everybody was stunned by the signal to noise ratio, and it's hard to imagine a material that is more demanding than low-mid driven ambiences. get your facts straight, it's not the pressing plant that is responsible for your problems, it's obviously a matter of the final product mishandling. -

Edited 7 years agoVery crackly, Side C has a really nasty pop, and Side D is unlistenable. The packaging and music itself is great though. -
I bought late repress (January'17) expecting a superior ambient sound but once I put vinyls on turntable, I find myself saddened. Some turbulence and annoying noise (due, in part, to a scratch in side A of my copy) in every of the four sides, regardless how clean the surface was. I wrote my webshop to comment these issues and they have ed the distributor in the same way. Let's see if they give a proper response...
