Edited one year agoI was severely disappointed that mine came with a significant and visible defect/scratch from the manufacturer on side A that ruined tracks 3 and 4. And I imagine there is very little I can do about it... It sounded great up until that point. It is getting so hard to be a fan of records when modern manufacturers seem to have 0 quality control.

Pressing sounds fantastic. It’s an almost total win except side D is pointless. Karaoke versions of great songs suck. I can’t imagine anyone playing that album side and actually enjoying them. It’s a downer of an ending to an otherwise great release.

Awesome pressing!! So happy to have this one. Unfortunately my pressing did not come with the envelope and message :( anyone receive an extra one that could sell me??

I got a bad pressing of the 2019 RSD version, so I was very happy to get a 2nd chance at getting this - and a deluxe version too! The 2024 version turned out much better- very flat vinyl and great sounding. Like a previous reviewer, my only complaint is that I was also hoping that the "karaoke" versions featured the actors singing. Still, I highly recommend this version.

Edited one year agoBuy this. Recording is flawless. So much more than the original release. God. So Good!!!!

When I saw that this had the karaoke tracks from the movie, I was hoping it was with the actors singing them as in the movie. Instead it's just some lame instrumental versions :(

Edited one year agoI'll come back and edit this once I've listened for sound quality, but the packaging of this one definitely beats other LP releases of this soundtrack by a mile. Beautiful, with several fun details. And track listing-wise, this is basically the version of this soundtrack I've been waiting for for 20 years.
Only thing I'd add is a gatefold sleeve, but at least the jacket pocket is ample -- you don't have to struggle to fit both LPs in. As in, you could possibly put the records in archival sleeves and fit them in there alongside the empty printed inner sleeves. (UPDATE: I have now done exactly this w/ mofi sleeves. It's a little tight, but it all fits!)
