Karl-Haze i agree, i was always a 2 bad micer , but always feel me gravitating to this these days . all great mixes tho

Sometimes I feel like crying when I hear that awfully out of tune vocal come in on the Rufige Kru remix of The Helicopter Tune, but then I that the better track is on the flip, so I dry my eyes, turn the record over and enjoy some blissed out, early Jungle courtesy of JMJ and Richie.

Rufige Kru remix was the first version of Helicopter I ever heard (on Hype's set at Jungle Fever, early '94) & I thought it was the original until a few months later. Goldie did a terrific job, giving it a lot more energy than the original and making the Sesame Street breaks a lot more rolling and shuffley (not a great description but I know what I mean haha). Don't get me wrong, the original is an alltime classic but this version just gives it a whole new lease of life

Although she remains uncredited, Goldie mentioned during a recent 6 Music show that the 'sometimes I feel like crying' vocal sample in the Rufige Kru remix was from Diane Charlemagne, a leftover salvaged from a Reinforced recording session.
