Terrible. I recently found an original CD, bought it used, sold this one to the shop--basically gave it away. Find an original disc instead.

Reznor posted a message on Twitter which read: “NIN fans, don’t waste your money on this version of PHM that was just released”

This release was definitely a victim of the loudness wars. There's a few tweaks to some songs, but nothing extraordinary. The biggest draw is the packaging designed by Rob Sheridan, plus the Queen cover taken from Sin and attached this disc. It's not a bad release overall, and if you're not an audiophile this will be perfectly acceptable, or even preferable depending on your feelings about packaging and bonus tracks.

Half the dynamic range of the original Barry Diament-mastered CD. Averages only 6dB of dynamic range. If you listen to music on the go with in-ear buds or in the car with lots of ambient noise, you may prefer this version.
On a good stereo the original CD wins out. This 2010 remaster is another victim of the loudness wars.
