Edited 4 months agoSounds way better than the 2017 Deluxe Edition pressing. I bought that and was so underwhelmed I sought out a better version - and Mondo is it. While not audiophile it’s got much more clarity than the 2017. PS - wish CC would have left the Paul Westerberg tracks off this soundtrack. I have always felt they detracted from the overall mix of songs. I get it, it’s a RomCom and they are in the movie but…. Small gripe cause this record really coalesced what Seattle’s music scene had going on in 1991. It was an amazing time -

Sounds clean and quiet vinyl, but sonics are meh. Not bad, but midrange is kinda absent. Yeah, it’s dated grunge, but sounds remarkably tame. The highlight, Drown, with all its fury, sounds rather caged. Also edited down from the original, I think. -
Can anyone comment on the quality of this Mondo pressing compared to the 20th anniversary? I literally just bought that version & then saw this one being repressed. -
this is being repressed and available 06/14 at noon on orange, along with the debut of vol. 2

I believe this could be labeled as Vol. 1 because a Vol. 2 might contain all the music that was on the CD that came with the 25th anny version. i.e. Citizen Dick, etc. -

This is the only copy I’ve ever owned on vinyl, so it’s all I know…but it sounds pretty great to me.
