Edited 5 days agoInitially I was disappointed with the sound quality, but after cleaning this sounds phenomenal. Almost no background noise, music is very well balanced with lots of depth. One of my absolute favourite albums of all time.

My copy sounds great, only minimal surface noise on quieter parts after cleaning, strong dynamic mastering though and flat, which is alot more than most new pressings these days

Fantastic sound, in my opinion. Each track sounds sublime, with a great soundscape and no flaws present in the master. Really cheap too

Bernie Grundman, the grandmaster of vinyl mastering.
I would like to spend some money to buy some cool albums, not finding an old copy of this one. No need probably. -
This sounds absolutely sensational to me. This is one of my favourite albums (by anyone), so I had considered getting a 45RPM APM just to do it justice, but after hearing this, I don't need to. I'm perfectly happy with this. It's a little bass light but that's just the nature of the recording - even an Analogue Productions pressing won't fix that. This is perfect to me otherwise.
-
Once again a Doors repress is excellent quality. A good, solid slab of wax. Quiet between tracks with a really clear sound. Good separation and clarity. No need for an OG with these represses around.
