Great remaster. Much better sound than 2014. It sounds very similar to the original version (which I like slightly better) but still, a great job done by sound engineering team. Must have for any Maiden fan. Up the Irons, folks!!!!

I’d say this mastering is *slightly* better than the original UK and US pressings. It’s Iron Maiden, so the bass and guitars are prominent with some “interesting” decisions about levels throughout and Bruce’s vocals sometimes buried in the mix. The exception here is “Total Eclipse” which sounds much cleaner and more balanced than the other tracks. I wish the whole album had the production quality of Total Eclipse.

All I can say is WOW! As for Number of the Beast it’s a huge improvement over the 2014 remaster. This is much closer to the original but the bass guitar boosted a bit, which I really like because the musicianship is top notch. The live album also sounds great! Much better than expected. Chris Bellman did indeed cut this. The vinyl itself was very dirty but after a cleaning it played flawlessly. Must own!!!!! Up the irons!!

Wow. Nice pressing. Package is beautiful and well done as most Maiden releases are. This cut is better than the prior vinyl remaster def. Not as good as my Original press...but what remaster is? Great to finally hear the live cuts on vinyl. The cd versions are really good too btw. The live discs really show the massive strength of drummer Clive Burr...who is my fav. Nicko is fantastic..but Clive Burr was more of a "feel" player. As a bassist myself...I can attest to having a drummer like that. His kick punches thru! Want to hear Steve Harris 's original tone....just listen to this live recording. Over the years Maiden- my third fav band behind Floyd and Beatles- have speeded up their songs live... this recording shows them in a much more precise mode. You can also see this on live recordings from 80 and 81. IMO _ I own 5 versions of TNOTB and this one ranks just under the original IMO. And finally adding Total Eclipse to the album is amazing. I would always add that song to my TDK SA90s copies anyway. Dont expect me to sell my original single version any time soon though...LOL......its better sounding. But not much. Overall very happy with this. BTW just listened to my CD version of the live material. It has the exact same sound signature. But ..of course...the vinyl sounds more natural.

I think this is a great release no gangland is what the band wanted and total eclipse is a good song but were used to gangland. Then again we all have the gangland on other versions so no prob.

            But....
Will they make such releases with piece of mind for example or all the other 8 albums?

I am so happy Beast Over Hammersmith got a proper release on vinyl. It is one of their best live recordings, honestly.. It is nice having Total Eclipse replace Gangland on the tracklist, even if this digital remaster lacks the punch my 80s copy does.

The records are clean, and flat as can be with no noise. A quality pressing.

Holy hot hell, the live stuff on this is incredible! Dickenson singing Sanctuary is giving me goosebumps. The live stuff is worth owning this release for on its own, imo. The studio version is ok, you can tell it's been remastered (compared to an early 80's US pressing I have). The new track is disappointing as Bruce's vox are pretty subdued and kind of pushed back into the mix. In any case, a super solid purchase, especially for any maiden fan.

Please comment on the quality sound for the studio disk, does it sounds better than the awful 2014 reissue?
