Edited one year agoI love Neil's never ending onslaught of new/archival record releases, but I really wish he'd repress this. It's one of his best and getting a copy is extremely prohibitive. -
Sounds amazing, and a great step to the left for NY with Lanois. Dark and beautiful songs, but it's all about the production on this one for me.

I took it off the shelf after 12 years and played it on an upgraded sound system. It’s a wild beast of a record: deep bass, larger than life guitar sound, it sounds as if a mothership is flying over my house.

Spinning an original LP now. Man...this sounds fantastic. Super wide soundstage and deep bass. Flipping sides, I see CB in the deadwax and now it all makes sense. -

Watch out for a bootleg version of this release. The cover looks legit, but the Lp has no matrix stamps at all on either side.
