Great album....everyone has the right to children .the album child of. Children. Metaphor and reality. It's what it is. Great record. Take acid and listen. Go on now.

I already had some of their 12" vinyl on tape which a friend would stick at the end of albums he was taping for me. I borrowed the cd of this from my local library in 2002, back when they still had hard physical copies of their music libraries, and it was easily the best album of 2002 for me. I own it on cd and vinyl now, still an amazing piece of work.

Absouletly amazing album, one of the most beautiful listens I've had, theres up and downs between songs, and the break songs in between help calm down the mood at some points.
-
A superb album, conjures a variety of emotions. Happy, sad, unsettling, nostalgic, scary, sometimes all within a single song.

Edited 4 years agoA ferocity lies under the lull of hazy synths and pretty nature sounds with often unsettling manipulated voices and sinister atypical beats that can upend any calm found here.

Boards Of Canada's best.
From the dark sinister ambient tracks to the glimpses of hope scattered around the album.
Bravo.

Edited 5 years agoThere are far too many interludes on this album, but when the brothers make it right like as with Alpha & Omega then it is their crowning moment.

I had this unintentionally on a misprinted CD (what was supposed to be my second copy of Plaid - Not For Threes)
