Edited 4 months agoSounds fairly clean with decent sounstage and fairly consistent crackle at the quiet parts. Not terribly well mixed; slightly sludge with no upper-end. Would have expected better for a 45 rpm repress but its good enough, especially when compared against the prices of OG pressings.

Lucky enough to own all 3 releases and in my opinion the 2014 release is the best. This has lots of noise which is quite noticeable in the "exit music" track and the clicks continue to appear on this copy as well. No idea why there are constant clicking issues with these coloured vinyl pressings which all have been very disappointing. Stick with the black vinyls if you want to save money as they are not as noisy as these coloured releases. Anything sounds better than the streets blue lp in anycase!

Finally a reissue that doesn’t sound worse than every version before it! Sounds very similar to https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/release/2229285-Savatage-Edge-Of-Thorns, but perhaps with a little more stereo separation. Does anyone have the 2014 pressing to know how this compares? I was sadly never able to get that one.

I think that this remastered version, running at 45rpm, sounds really good, the yellow vinyl are minimally noisy on background, but after a cleaning session the sound was dramatiically improved! Great packaging, top and really interesting booklet with liner notes, inner sleeves with lyrics... worth every cent! One of my most favorite Savatage's albums!

I've received my copy and with relief I can say this one is on a better side of things than Streets and Hall Of A Mountain King reissues were. Yellow vinyl is a bit noisy but I haven't cleaned them yet. Most importantly, mastering is adequate. This won't be your demo record but for 1993 metal album it sounds good.
