A mix of horn pop, psychedelia, pop, rock, soul, blues & jazz (phew!). Al Kooper’s musical leadership saves the day with strong instrumentation, arrangements & a soulful rhythm section. Jann Wenner once said "BS&T is the best thing to happen in rock and roll so far in 1968". Well, the Beatles, Jimi, VU & the Zombies et al might have had the edge. Still, this is smokin’.
