Judging by what other people said I was skeptical to buy this but my copy sounds absolutely fantastic on my setup. I might have just been used to the shitty cassette version for so long but the bass kick is really defined. -
This pressing is good but not really the best . I find the highs a little veiled , details are not full but you got a punchy bass . For the price , its quite worth . I would get the GHS 24131Def Jam first pressing if come across . Still an iconic metal album -
Edited 5 months agoThis is one of the quietest albums I own. Forgot I was listening to vinyl at some points. Sounds phenomenal. -
I picked this up a while back at a local store....got home and saw the Made in Poland stamp on the shrink wrap....freaked out for a second (no offense to Poland)....played it.....it cranks......period!. Anyone complaining about sound quality may have never heard it on cassette. As far as old Slayer goes, this is punchy, tight, in your face, rocks the house, and is legit. It may be strange to say, but I use this one as a base for any thoughts I have of "new" vinyl that I end up with.

My pressing has the made in Poland stamp on back of sleeve. Funny the vinyl itself has the label for “seasons in the abyss” on it. The vinyl plays Reign tho -
