Edited 13 years agoOne of Colemans weakest records. Not only no really great hit on it, but the whole playing's a bit stiff and empty and lacks the groove of his great records like "The Shape of Jazz to Come" or "Change of the Century". Except for "Turnaround", which is a quite groovy and relaxed blues with a beautiful bass solo by Red Mitchell and also some nice drumming. About the pressing: While the original Atlantic pressings already sound a little bit thin (but still powerful), this cheap ZYX repressing has especially bad and thin sound that lacks dynamic and deepness.
