Edited 4 years agoI just cant say any other thing then this is for me the nr.1 symphony of electronic music. The biggest masterpiece of all time for me. When you can dive into this album, you will feel perfection. The moment at the track "Into Deep" when the atmosphere colapses is for me probably the biggest moment of my 25 years exploration of the electronic music (beside the "Netherworld" break). It is like the gates of perfection have just opened and are taking me to this perfect, magical otherworld that not many people can experience. This track feels like reaching your life goal, getting to the next level and at the same time being thankful that you could and can experience all this magic in life. So much sadness in this moment that life is transient, but also happiness and hope at the same time. This is the track that explains perfectly how it would feel to be floating deep down on the bottom of the ocean. Thank you Oliver for this magic and what you have created here. This album will be forever on my wall.

Unlike all the 'gods' of trance who could make great singles but had trouble making 'great' albums, Oliver Lieb showed everybody how it should be done with this release, timeless, classic!!
I'm writing this almost 20 years from the day of release and this stunning work of electronic music still sounds so fresh and oh so damn good 20 years later, nuff said! -
Edited 6 years agoUnutterably flawless. There are hundreds, thousands, of albums that are truly outstanding, but this is one of the few that earns the designation of "flawless." There is not a single moment that isn't positively dripping with divinity. Give it a listen and you will see that I am right, unless you are some kind of weirdo who doesn't like chill. Or, you know, music.

Edited 7 years agoThis remains my most favourite album. Absolutely outstanding and a masterpiece of trance. I love how the album flows from one piece of music to the next and it is best to treat it as a 74 minute piece of music. Put headphones on, close your eyes and drift off into a different world.

I have had this album for many years now & it gets better every time I hear it, like some mad herb that has the reverse tolerance lol. It is not even necessary to cane this album every day because if you find your self getting bored with other music you put this on & faith in music is restored.

Edited 18 years agoTo elaborate, this release is in my humble opinion a timeless masterpiece of the dowtempo/chill genre. This is why: compositionally, every element "fits", nothing feels superfluous, there is a powerful, indescribable warm energy that eminates from each track that cannot easily be put into words. Its like Kraftwerk met Jarre and Tubby in the deep subterrenaian bowels of crunchy trip-hop loops while soaring through bright angelic pads and voices.

Edited 20 years agoWhere to start with such an amazing work of art? From start to finish it has such an incredible flow - I don't think I've heard another album quite like it. The peaks will make you feel like you're flying, the valleys will make you feel like you're diving. The percussion and basslines are intelligently and intricately programmed, and won't let your attention wander. Cybéle de Silveira's incorporeal voice perfectly complements the unbelievably gorgeous keyboard work, to other-worldly effect.
I've listened to "Into Deep" more than any other album I own, and I'm sure I'll be listening to it in 50 years. Simply amazing.
