The Stones are truly rolling by now & really hit their stride on this. Jagger shines but basically, it’s Keith Richards' show. The first Rolling Stones album recorded after Brian Jones' death & the first to feature Mick Taylor fresh off his stint w/ Mayall's Bluesbreakers. After flirting with garage rock, pop & psych this is the real essence of Stones where they found their voice & identity - a chugging, grinding blues-rock album & a precursor of country rock full of sex, sleaze & general bad attitude.
One of the (If not an) essential Stones albums.
