Wonderful pressing of a classic album. It might be from a DSD source but it sounds incredible with no loudness or compression issues I can hear. DSD is used for most modern vinyl so I don't worry about it. As long as the mastering was done correctly it is going to sound like a record and not a modern CD.

not a fan of side a as much; hall of mirrors and showroom dummies aren't their best. but god damn if side b isn't a masterpiece. each song flows into the next and it's honestly one long song- i don't consider it 5 songs.

Released clear back in 1977 this reissue hit the racks in 2009..Autobahn was the magnet that took me audio wise to these German blokes who do the nerd look so well...What I find interesting is that much of the electronic stuff from the era sounds so dated and remains so still today...Not so with KRAFTWERK...I feel like I just boarded the Trans Europe Express for the first time...It even comes with a nice booklet with pixs of the musicians...If you like cool electronic stuff, pick up this LP...It will take down the tracks of sonic clarity again and again...

If I recall correctly, this 2009 pressing of this album is not on black vinyl. On my copy, I found out that when I took the record out of its sleeve, turns out that the colour of the vinyl is clear (fully transparent). I don't have the original 70's pressing so I can't compare, so if anyone out there has both the original 70's pressing and this 2009 pressing, let me know!

Can anyone advise on whether this remaster corrects(?) the ear-shredding treble on the title track's robot vocals? I've owned two presses, the first US and a 1993 reissue, and both have that same problem. Curious whether this version is any different.

Digitalised, yes. In fact, the spine proudly displays the phrase 'KLING KLANG DIGITAL MASTER'. The word 'digital', we are told, is a sign that the record will lack the warmth of an analogue record. This is largely true, but this is a Kraftwerk record, and somehow a lack of warmth does not detract from what was already a cold and clinical production; it is barely noticeable. What is apparent, however, is that this remaster sounds clear as a bell.
