Edited 2 years agoHerbie Hancock`s "Thrust" is a typical funky 70`s jazz funk LP with electric keyboards along side electric & acoustic instruments.
This probably isn`t one Herbie`s better known LP`s but has all his 70`s funk trademarks with progressive basslines throughout.
I`m not sure if it`s my copy but the highs on my own pressing is it`s only real downfall, they are slightly muted compared to most(if not all)my other jazz recordings, but I can correct this somewhat by upping ohm rating on a mm to 68k!.
Thank you for reading this review, this LP is recommended for;Herbie Hancock,70`s jazz funk, funk audiophile fans etc.
Music 5*
Pressing 4.5*(my copy is completely flat but questionable highs)
Not his best work but it`s a solid four stars****
Edit:
After a new(to me)phono stage an some turntable fettling this IS a Five Star item, all sound quality aspects are on point so no more worries concerning the highs!
