Once I fixed a massive warp that I wasn’t the least surprised in receiving from VMP…this one played flawless under my unforgiving 2M Bronze. The usual impeccable mastering from RKS. I’m not a colored vinyl guy per se but…this one is a beauty. I’m a mid-fifties old school country and outlaw country convert(never too late!)…and this album is a gem. Dolly sure could write.

Edited one year agoEchoing a lot of the reviews below, this is one of the better sounding VMP titles, right up there with some of the best AP and Mofi pressings.

My copy is kinda off center on side B and has some rotational clicking at the end of side A but for the most part this sounds fantastic. Mostly quiet background and amazing mastering, super clear and has tons of rich detail. Color is lovely too, mine has significantly less splatter than the mock-up but I still love it, and the tip on jacket is lovely. VMP have an issue with low res artwork but this one looks pretty good. The booklet was a great read too.

One of my best looking and best sounding records. My copy isn’t warped at all and is dead silent. It’s probably my favorite Dolly album of all time, with the title track, Early Morning Breeze and Here I Am being particular standouts. The splatter on my copy looks awesome, echoing the cover without being overwhelming. 10/10

Is a VMP release ever not warped? Mastering is on point as usual but they need to work on the qc or move away from 180g pressings.
Not usually a fan of splatter vinyl but the colors are much more subdued in person than the mock up on the website. -

A great title with a perfect mastering, dead quiet sounding vinyl with beautiful (and fitting) color, plus a nice booklet specially for folks like me who don't know Dolly so deeply.

My first Dolly album and it's fantastic. I understand why many love her so much. Beautiful album and very clean sound.

This is a gem. It shows that you can make flashy, colorful vinyl that is also a high quality pressing. When you combine how cool this looks with the sound, this would be a strong contender in my collection if I was showing off to someone how fun/great vinyl is. I highly, highly recommend this.
