      This member demo-man-david is reporting all the posts he cannot refute and then editing his own or reposting - even attempting to use my own words against me - when he was caught out. Just do a browser search for "ebay community the beatles in mono" and you can read in his posts which reveal 1. The item WAS bought on eBay 2. He DID pay £100 3. The seller WAS based in China, all of which he had denied & then redacted once he was caught out, and became abusive calling me a "blabbermouth" and to get MY facts right! 🙄

        Thank you aminovel i always thought it should be on the outside but how wrong can i be.
        I've some more info on this box set.The actual weight of an original set should be around 840 grams but mine is 745 grams so there's a weight difference as well as everything else.

          FYI i didn't buy it on ebay either so get your facts right before blabbing your mouth off.
          On the same issue regarding the fake box set.I have a friend who purchased the same box set from a different seller and he tells me that on his Please Please Me cd it skip 3 times on Love Me Do,exactly the same place as mine does so this is definitely a Chinese counterfeit/fake box set.Buyers please be aware and not fall into the same trap i did.If the price sounds to good to be true then it definitely IS.

            I bought this box set new and sealed about 3 weeks ago and have my doubts to whether it's a genuine copy.On the Please Please Me cd tracks 6 & 7 skip.The flip-backs on Beatles For Sale are actually on the inside of the gatefold and not to the back of the gatefold,also the flip-backs on the other covers seems to have come unstuck.All the gatefold's are all out of alignment (not squaring up,crooked).The manufacturers mark on the cd itself is missing but all the other codes (BAR-IFPI-SID CODES) are there.The squared lines surrounding The Beatles In Mono logo on the front of the box is all out of square (lop-sided).There are 5 identical spots on each of the 13 discs on the inner central silver part of the cd in exactly the same place.Finally there are no plastic protective covers to any of the album covers or cd's.Can anybody here confirm for me whether this is genuine or fake.

              Disappointed by the packaging of this box even though it was purchased new and sealed.
              I don't think it's a fake (very green apple, pouch and inserts present, matrix number conforms like here), but:
              - Albums cover (not getefold) taken off,
              - Absence of protective sleeve on albums and CDs,
              - Damaged white album cover and poster placed separately in the box,
              The white of non-gatefold albums is very yellow,
              CD's with some traces....
              All this does not resemble the careful work of the Japanese.
              Would anyone have the same problem?

                  In the right bottom corner on the front cover of Rubber Soul there's "TREDE MARK" misprint !

                    Anyone have this set with the disc, PPM, showing the Rubber Soul song list instead of the PPM song list?
                    The wrong song list appears to be embedded in the CD. Odd.

                      the easiest way to tell a bootleg box from the outside is that all bootlegs have a lot of dark speckles and streaks in the apple
                      the apple should be green and a bit of yellow highlights ,,no dark speckles spots or lines.
                      only the very outline of the apple is somewhat dark
