Edited 3 years agoNo one's kidding, this is MUCH clearer than my '77 US pressing. I was thinking vinyl couldn't handle the layers of heavy punk, but this proves it can. It does not have nearly as much bass as the original, but a sub won't help muddiness anyway....

I love the sound of this record. Completely blew away the 1977 Canadian pressing I had. This one has a real direct and kick ass sound where the old one was muddy. The guitars and drums come through so powerfully on this pressing.

Brilliant Release done by Rhino fairly early in their foray into the Vinyl Market - and at the doorstep of its resurgence. The playback here really punches and delivers a wall-of-sound attack that drives hard and loud while still getting Johnny Rotten's vocals clear, biting and sneering to the forefront. So fun to have this legendary album, with its musical trend-setting and political-eyepopping statement on vinyl, raw and potent. Love it. Rega RP3, Dynavector 10x5/P75, Parasound HINT6, ATC SCM11s. Long live the Pistols!

Compared this to an old pressing (not sure what year or country) and I actually preferred this one, other pressing sounded a bit muddy in comparison

This one sounds good! My CD version https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/Sex-Pistols-Never-Mind-The-Bollocks-Heres-The-Sex-Pistols/release/11169346 sounds muddy and - at least a bit - flat compared to this. However, I have no experience in other vinyl releases so cannot compare to them. A great quiet pressing as well, no crackling here.

I bought my copy. Sounds good but does anyone know how it sounds compared to the original US release or even the Virgin pressing?
