For me, Deltax is the standout tune on this. Hard as nails and completely unpredictable. I dont think anyone actaulyl knows how to mix this in and mixing out is even harder as the BPM creeps up around 3:45. Wonderful nosebleed inducing stuff

Edited 4 years agoMecon is one of my favorites. It is very monotone, extremely repetitive acid trance. Then what makes it so good? Highly distorted acid synths hit you from every angle until you are fully immersed in acid sounds. Then, a melancholic melody emerges. It fits the track so well that you feel the time stops and you open your eyes in a club, where the bright spotlight is right above you and the light rays "rain" over you. That part is very trippy, melancholic, yet beatiful. But it is not here to stay! It merely lasts for 1.5 minutes, after which the track returns to its usual, distorted monotone sounds, and finally progresses to an end.

"Morphia" Track are from all Harthouse Records the real "Secret Weapon"
This Track has for at first a hard appearance, but in reality it is a real beautiful, melancholic sad track.
For me personally, the track sounds better and better within all those years !

Mecon is amazing, presenting such flow and melody, keeping it dance and solid. Morphia is an over dose, straight from the brick walls of an underground rave party.

Edited 14 years agoIn my opinion, "Morphia" and "Mecon" are the shining stars of this release. The first is a spacey trance track with a nice tune, and beats with lots of reverb. The second is a crazy, hard and wicked TB-303 Acid track. This is the REAL acid sound! It's one of the perfect examples of the amazing potential that the Roland TB-303 can have.
"Deltax" is a hardcore track recorded entirely with a TR-909, distorted to a maniac level. "Spawn" is more space ambient, and 100% beatless, but using a pair of synthlines and a 303, the final result is brilliant.
This is one of the best releases from Harthouse! It got Trance, Hardcore, Ambient and Acid...All these genres into one record! -
I consider this record as one of the best records from Harthouse, very nice 303 action and heavy bassdrums at Mecons tune. I hunted this for years i finally got it.
