Best sounding version WTH. Better than original UK neat press with more clearity and depth. -
Edited 8 years agoPioneers and one of the best releases of the genre, blending rock and punk into an evil pagan explosion. You can hear early in their catalog Venom's humor in "Poison", Satanic with "In League with Satan" and Pagan/ Biblical references in "1,000 days in Sodom". Their next release Black Metal is an iconic album in the genre and then the closest Venom gets to a concept album with At War with Satan. I was 13 in 83' when I dropped the needle on this LP and first heard Cronos demonic growl come out of my cheap soundesign speakers. It truly freaked me out. it hooked me, and forever I'm in a league with Venom!
