You are so wrong there angst_in_antwerp. This is Paul McCartney's best record. Tops even RAM which is one of the more listenable albums. Paul has fallen victim of releasing too much material and too shoddy material, but this is definately his finest work. Youth as a producer has given his fabulous touch and electronic magic. Every track is great. However, this is not easy pop music so for the most people it won't work, I guess. First time it can be a shocker, it's so un-Macca, but all for the better. Bless you Paul and Youth for doing this. It's really bold ... complete another world created in audio, inexplicably beautiful stuff.

I picked this up for $4 in a clearance bin in a shop.I really wish that I had left it there. The reason for my purchase was not so much that I was a Mc Cartney fan but I wanted to see how much of a fool he could make of himself with Youth being his collabrator this time.I when It was released it was done almost secretly ,I guess that they were hoping die hard Macca fans would run out and buy it without listening first.I was expecting ambient electronic stuff with McCartney trying to be relevant and cool but this stuff sounds like a blend of 50s rock 'n' roll with electronics thrown in.It also sounds like it was recorded in the 50s ,the production is really bad as for McCartneys voice ,that died years ago and he should have called it quits when it did but he obviously still craves the limelight any which way he can.If you are into electronic ambient music give this a big miss ,in fact if you are into music at all avoid this at all costs ....I wish I had!
