Pretty goof pressing, I've noticed with pressings from digital masters that they sound a bit tinny (like with the 1995 repress of rubber soul) but the 2009 remaster deals with it very well

I really needed a fresh copy of this, especially a UK track version and picked this up cheap at an online post Xmas sale. Very happy with it, nice to have such a new, great sounding play copy.

Edited 2 months agoA two step wet cleaning really helped this one. Overall, no surprises here. Great pressing. This sort of stereo mix is a great deal more enjoyable with a great set of cans.

Very questionable quality control with my copy, possibly one of the worst copies out there. Distracting surface noise, pops and clicks after multiple cleans. Both sides are off centered. Pretty noticeable IGD on run for your life. Some weird “sss” spots on what goes on that sound horrible. And the last 30 seconds of Michelle are ruined with some nasty non fill. Wish I could return it.

I'm quite happy with this pressing, it's the mix I grew up listening to and it sounds better here than elsewhere, punchy, clear, and vibrant. My copy was bought new and still plays like new, very quiet, with no surface noise or any other issues.

I think this sounds great. I wish Gyles would leave it alone. I dislike the digital remix that he's doing with Peter Jackson's new track separation technology. I like Sgt. Pepper though. I love the Yellow submarine songtrack. I wish he did it like that. Or get somebody who knows what they're doing, instead of hiring them because of what their last name is.

This vinyl is priced too high. Sound quality is alright but not the best. Unfortunately inner groove distortion is present on a few tracks. I'd recommend purchasing a mono version of this album.
-
Edited one year agoIt's got a nice separation of instruments, as is Ringo's percussion. The vocals are clearly up front and the harmonies are beautiful. A very quiet pressing, unfortunately, mine has an oh so slight warp, but not enough to detract from the experience.
-
Pretty good sound overall. Side B is more consistent than Side A, however the whole mix generally sounds pretty good and dynamic. Pretty cheap too
