Edited 8 months agoof all the beatles remixes so far this is my favorite one it truly sounds great it’s got a really strong but coherent base presence and real solid separation musically speaking it’s also top notch one of the best albums ever made a worthwhile purchase for someone wanting to avoid the gamble and high price of a different release if your looking for a more traditional sound the 2014 mono is your best bet and anyone looking for that “check this shit out” version should seek a capitol mastered white vinyl version from 1978 they’re very cool and sound fantastic -

Very quiet vinyl. Sounds really good, I’m able to hear much more than just on my ITunes. The bass really stands out to me and I’m usually pretty bass deaf. It’s almost to distracting though.
Love the packaging. It’s probably my thickest gatefold.
My only issue is the sleeves. Generally as long as they don’t cause any trouble I will always keep the anti-static sleeves most modern Beatles releases come in. However sometimes they refuse to work. On this release the plastic bit for the first disc just came out with the LP and I haven’t gotten it to unwrinkle and just be decent, so I replaced the sleeves for both (for consistency). This also happened with my copy of Revolver. It’s gotta just be a static issue. Hope they can all actually work. Some glue on the bottom would probably solve it. -
Can anybody comment on the difference between this pressing and the 2018 Esher demos box set pressing? I own the latter but I'm thinking of picking up an additional copy to play so I don't have to open my box set every time. Much appreciated! -
I'm only halfway through Dear Prudence as I write this, but I'm floored - gorgeous mixes on quiet vinyl, it's like hearing this album for the first time all over again. Well done Giles! -
Finally sat down with this and gave it a serious listen .
Sounds amazing ,ultra quiet too.
For those bitchin about how it differs from this or that pressing ,,i dont understand why they bought a remix .
Whats the point of a remix if needs to compare to your favorite original mix.
There would be no point of a remix .
Anyway ,,as a whole i really like how a lot of the heavy compression was removed yet in the process they somehow gave the whole album a nice cohesive sound.
I know some of the charm of the OG pressings is the different mixes and vibe between each song .
I still have those versions
This remix is a great listen and worthy add to any collection

One of my favorite pieces of vinyl. Just like the Sgt. Pepper remix, I find this version a huge upgrade sonically. The drums especially benefit from the new mix.

I have a copy with a unique set of runout/matrices and no hype sticker/barcode. Otherwise appears to be identical 2018 reissue. Would appreciate thoughts on if this is a new variant to add here or a new pressing entry should be created? Thanks.

So close. Great separation and clean mix. No issues until Good Night. Then distortion and noise all over it. You couldn't have messed it up one song before?
