I found this colored vinyl to be noisy out of the shrink, but after triple ultrasonic cleaning, now quiet as can be. Agree with first post that it's a quality pressing and that the abrupt changes between sides is an oversight on the part of the vinyl mastering. -
For this vinyl release, I'm disappointed that nothing was done to "hide" the track breaks at the beginning and end of each side. Given the long drawn-out nature of how each track transitions into the next, a gentle fade out / in would have been easy, and made for a much smoother ride. The end of side C and start of side D is especially jarring. Some might argue that doing so changes the recording, but let's be honest: this album was never made with vinyl in mind and should've been adjusted to fit the medium.
Everything else is stellar though, including the music, of course. And for those wondering about the quality of the pressing, it's excellent! Surface noise is as quiet as any black vinyl I own. All the more reason I'm disappointed in that one oversight.
