Purchased on release day in 1987 from Turtle's Records (Atlanta). Aside from all of the comments regarding dated production, this is a very solid vinyl pressing. Dead quiet even in the run-in/run-out. Very dynamic and full with wonderful soundstage as you might expect from the Reg. Approaches audiophile territory and is a very rewarding vinyl from an audio perspective. Love to crank it, especially "Who Needs Information". Used prices on Discogs for NM and VG+ rated is pretty substantial going currently for the $40-60 range.

I saw this concert at Great Woods in MA, and as luck would have it we walked right in the night of the show and scored like 12th row center floor. It was a great show, but for me at least the highlights were when he did other material not from this album. This album just never really did it for me, not horrible, but far from his best. Agree with others that say that the sound reeks of 80s production, and if you like that then great!
I recently read an interview with Waters and he said that he should've never made this album, he was pushed too far out of his comfort zone in of the production, and the finished product suffered because of it. I tend to agree, again I think it's not terrible but far from his best.

This album reminds me of a time capsule where they placed a 50's car in it for 30 years and stated its timeless style was forever. Well as we all know 50's cars have great styling but it was a product of its time. This album reeks of 80's production and sound. Most hate it due to this. I can see why but now that its 30 plus years old the 80's throwback sound is awesome. I think the most damaging part of this album is that its a concept album that is a really lame idea. If it was just about modern life and living in L.A. it would have been received better. Who Needs Information and Me or Him are the best tracks on this album. There are a few others that are ok if you do not take it to seriously. This LP is very good sounding, a solid pressing.
