HC has really become my personal favorite Madonna album that I can listen to front to back without stopping. It is odd that way down in her career I had found the album that I could not stop playing. I was hesitant that my two fav producers Timbaland and Pharrell would come out with something as ass shaking as Dance 2Night, Incredible, She's Not Me or Candy Shop all on the same album but they def delivered! Even my least favorite, Give It 2 Me with some very clunky snares is listenable still due to the lyrical and vocal arrangement. -
Edited 6 years agoI loathe this album. Madonna has always worked with the biggest names in the industry, but this is the point in her career where she dropped the "look what I can do" and started shoving into people's faces the "look who I know," coming across as a desperate attempt to stay relevant with the younger generation (which, in my opinion, also describes her subsequent albums). While I do somewhat enjoy a couple of songs - mainly 'Miles Away' - the rest of this album, to me, sounds like empty, over-produced, vacuous garbage. And this is coming from a lifelong Madonna fan.
