Can anyone who has this get a good scan of what the liner notes in the digipak says? It's different from all the versions I've seen and I can't quite make out what's written.

A deluxe reissue is coming according to their Instagram and will include the GIMIX mix. Don’t bother with the latest pressing, save up for the new version. Who knows? Maybe “Frontier Psychiatrist” got cleared.

Finally a release for not stupid money (hundreds of pounds) I've listened through and it sounds more than good enough to enjoy at home or spin out. Official or not i'm happy, thumbs up yo!

2016 vinyl repress is legit, got copies for our store from PIAS which is the official distributor for XL in the UK. I have to it I'm surprised they're not really pushing this, as so many people have asked for it over the last two months.
Watch out though, there is no 2016 date on the back of the sleeve, just dated as 2000 and 2001, so be wary of anyone trying to shift sealed original pressings, as it may well just be this repress.

So somebody just spoonfeed me, which of the vinyl versions have all of the samples intact, if any?

Can a bootleg label press a 2LP of the promo version, please? This is one case where it would actually be welcome.

There's talk on the band and the album's Wiki that there was to be a deluxe 2xCD version of this, does anyone know if it was ever released anywhere?

Fantastic. Sent me into another world every time I listened to this in 2000...The theme of my year. I walked in rhythm to the whole cd. Best with original samples, as I heard the second re sample version and its a horror. Check out 'Radio' with the original sample of the guy who just watches the test pattern. Like all great sample based sounds its very witty too, a la De La Soul.

It has been since Bran Van 3000’s ‘97 Drinking In L.A. I came across a record that brought you that a bit nostalgic private party mood, as if you were actually there. Pure emotion: a lot of environmental snippets, Goldfrapp style Bond & Co soundtracks, funky tripped out hip hop voices keeping the party level up, fragments of hit singles you used to dance to, ringing telephones no one cares about, laughter in the garden, swimming pool fun…
And afterwards you say : “Ahh, it’s been a long time we had so much fun!”
