Edited 3 years agoThis has one of the worst mastering quality in my entire collection. Lifeless and very compressed. The digital version, while not mastered too good as well, beats this by a little bit it in every aspect.
The vinyl itself is pretty quiet, so if you like the music but lack a decent digital source, you might still tolerate it -
Listened to this one along with the vinyl version of Immortalized (9362-49263-3) and while the reviews I browsed for that one sniffed at the offerings given, I was overall satisfied with the presentation. Then I put this record on, and while a few of the songs recall their best work (The Best Ones Lie, No More), most of it was atypical and not what I'd come to expect from David & co. It seems as if the band were still dealing with Bob Sanders' ing and their introspective mood influenced their creative process on most of the songs on this album. I would like for their next album, if not scathing about the current political system, to at least be as hard as we've come to expect. The sound quality was good; strong bass output and clear reproduction.
