Very nice sounding mastering, better than the digital versions. My press is noisy. No warp, no IGD. -
Edited 11 months agoExcellent release. Fascinating music, the sound is superb - clear, wide, rich and dynamic.
Little to no surface noise, especially after the cleaning. -
Average press, I received a very good one. The mastering is wonderfull, ver clear and dynamic, right there with In rainbows, KOL become a favourite of mine. -
Edited 2 years agoFinally bit the bullet after years of half-hating this one (talk about an album that creeps on you!).
This is indeed a pretty cheap release: flimsy carboard/inner (which are already producing seam-splits), no booklet, no card...).
Record arrived centered & flat but pretty dirty at the edge. It also had multiple marks + 2 nasty scratches on side B.
Optimal QC has recently dropped and thjs is another testimony of that.
Overall, the music sounds good and this is what matters the most (especially when you look at other Radiohead releases which got botchered...).
Since you can find it for around 20€ in 2022, this is not so bad.
PS: i usually don't comment on tracklists but omitting Supercollider/the Butcher & the Daily Mail/Staircase and giving away 'the Universal Sigh' in the street (thankfully i got a copy) instead of putting it in the package are pretty dumb moves... -
irrating clicks on first track, other than that the rest is perfect.
I know people love to hate this album, but it has really grown on me. So give it another go. -
Edited 3 years agoThe sound and mastering is really great and impressive for a one disc! 5 copies heared, seamsplit cover and ois + often scratches from pressing parts on b2/b3 and little dish warped- so two stars. -
Great pressing! my favorite track "Codex" has some pops at the beginning of the track but nevertheless the pressing is clear and dyamic. -
