Tori Amos – Native Invader Russia EP = Близкий Захватчик Россия

The worst pressing of anything I own. Sounds like someone poured sand in the grooves.

I was worried with this coming in a PVC sleeve that it would sound awful, but that’s not the case! While the record seems to have a little visible staining, it doesn’t have too much of an effect; the record isn’t dead quiet with a little bit of constant very quiet surface noise and little clicks, but it’s not really bad at all! I agree that it’s less noticeable on side B than side A, but even then it’s hardly of note. The sound quality is amazing, and the songs on side B somehow sound even more amazing than they sound on the already great quality Native Invader LP. Also the disc is a nice translucent orange color (which looks much less red-toned in real life than the images here would suggest), and it fits the vibe of the record well. Would recommend!

My copy is a fairly noisy pressing which is most felt on the A side which is minimally arranged (vox + piano). It's less of a problem on the B where the arrangements are much fuller.
Happy to have the track 'Russia' on vinyl though. It was my favourite from the Native Invader sessions by a long way.
