Edited one year agoSound quality is great! Light surface noise and pops, though nothing too distracting. Would recommend!

This to me sounds outstanding. The dynamic range on this is outstanding. Some surface noise at certain spots but infrequent.
-
Cleaned this 3 times ultrasonically before paying after reading the comments.
The album itself is among her best and the pressing itself is fanatic. -
I was surprised with the quality of this record. I read all the reviews and I must say it is not a perfect pressing: slight surface noise, non-fill but nevertheless it sounds dynamic & wide in of production.
The low clicks don't disrupt the listening experience as well.
[I also adore the art direction of the packaging] -
Edited 3 years agoThe clicks and noises referenced on other reviews is minimal on my copy (only hearable on very low moments), I'm just disappointed with what I believe is poor manufacturing, because there's way too much saturation of the sound for no reason ... not awful, but I have much better sounding records that are not 180g nor cut by Abbey Road top tier engineers... I wonder where's the weak link, it seems to happen on other recent Amos records I got (Under the Pink 2021 remaster/repress)... Too bad... Does someone know where the issue come from ?

Hi,
Sorry if I'm late to the party here and this has been asked already ( can't see anything so ....?) But seeing as the laquers were prepared by the very reputable Miles Showell at Abbey Road Room 30 fame. Whose amazing remastering work at half speed is just superb e.g. Japan's Tin Drum or Banshees The Scream are just truly awesome sounding.
Did Miles orJon Ashley who actually did the mastering run the laquers at half speed ? Anyone know the process here ? I know that the first two Tori albums were remastered for vinyl a few years ago at half speed but they were " remasters" obviously. As Native Invaders" is still a first pressing run then it's certainly not into the remastering phase for another 6 years of so ( is that a cynical observation there I dunno ?!?!) But certainly Miles is on to something massive with his half speed process I reckon , anyone else got thoughts ? -

Any one else find this LP quite clicky and noisy? Quite a bit of non-fill on copies I have seen thus far...
-
This LP sleeve is printed on a very matte paper that has no ability to produce any semblance of black... as the artwork is all so dark... it's just a wash of muted blurred shapes. Very disappointing.
