Debut album by progressive rock supergroup Asia, released in March of 1982. Asia presents a hook-heavy blend of progressive rock and arena rock, and was massively successful on release, reaching #1 on the Billboard charts, becoming the #1 album in the United States for the year, as well as spawning a Top 10 hit (Sole Survivor" was also released as a single, but missed the Billboard Top 10, although it reached #10 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart. Despite not being released as singles, "Wildest Dreams", "Time Again" (which was released as a B-Side), and "Here Comes The Feeling" reached #28, #43 and #40 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart. Music videos were created for all three singles, as well as "Wildest Dreams", despite not being released as a single.
A 30th Anniversary Boxed Set Re-issue of the album adds "Ride Easy", the b-side to "Heat Of The Moment", as a bonus track, as well as a DVD documentary about the band and several live unplugged appearances.

Great sounding pressing. Very dynamic and punchy. I had the Canadian Quality pressing, but this Cinram version blows that out of the water. -
Can anyone confirm that the levels are higher on the right side of their copy as well, or is mine just a bad copy?

I can't help but say that everything about this pressing sucks. There are a few good songs here but my God is it recorded badly. I think they would have done well to go out and get a great session drummer on this. Carl just doesn't cut it. -

Excellent mastering from Sterling Sound, with basically no surface noise. Defintely cant complain for 8 bucks -
Does anyone else have an issue with the word "face" in "Heat of the Moment" mine clips off the beginning so it sounds kid of like "and that would wipe the smile right from my ace" -

Just purchased this used at a local shop. This sonically sounds great. Deep bass and nice separation on mids and highs. Thoroughly impressed with this, beats any CD copy I've ever heard.
