I hope the Nobody Else vinyl is done better. I was really looking forward to getting this. I hadn't read the reviews on here so wasn't ready for how terrible the record sleeve photos are. I agree with others here, it really does look like a bootleg. Dreadful. No care or quality control at all. In this digital age, how hard would it have been to just scan the cd cover in hi resolution?

Edited 4 months agoMy packaging was fine, but I agree somewhat about the quality of the recording. It’s a bit flat and not as dynamic as one would expect from a vinyl master. Suspect it’s come directly from CD. Shame as it could have been very much more punchy and brighter. Just dull compared to most vinyl we have. On the up side the vinyl is very quiet, no noise.

In a probably foolhardy quest I've worked my way through all the original 1993 vinyl pressings of this album that I can find and settled on this one as the best.
(1) The UK white label sounds great, but it's hard to come by and obviously has no artwork.
(2) The UK picture disc is a picture disc so enough said.
(3) The Spanish LP sounds decent, especially side 1, but the side division is in the wrong place and the artwork is really grainy - even the text is low-resolution on the cover. The images on the back and inner sleeve are terrible quality and the text on the inside looks like it's been blown up from the CD.
(4) The South Korean version looks slightly better, but the images are still very low-res and the front cover is really washed out. Sounds alright and has an insert in Korean, which is cool.
(5) This one has the best artwork of the lot - still pretty grainy on the front but the text is rendered properly on the front and back (back cover design is the same as the UK picture disc, I assume from the same source) and there are no low-res images blown up anywhere else. Sound is good and the side division is in the correct place.
(6) Have only seen rather than heard the UK reissue from 2024 but it's the worst artwork of the lot - some of the worst and lowest quality I've ever seen on a record. The text isn't even centred. Can't speak for the sound quality.
In conclusion, the Brazil issue is the only one of the global releases that doesn't look like a bootleg and sounds good to boot. It doesn't go on sale that often but I've seen two for low prices in recent years. -
Not only are the covers in a really bad state of disintegration, the bootleggers do a better job. The labels have also been swapped. The sound quality is abysmal. In my opinion, this is a rubbish pressing. For the bin. Congratulations to those responsible. „Wasting my time“

Edited 7 months agoI just got this in the mail and I am so disappointed with the quality of the artwork. This is a clear case of not sourcing high-res versions of the original front cover and images. While I have other records where that's also the case, this one is next level bad. It almost seems like whoever released this found a thumbnail of the original cover on Google Images and then blew it up to the dimensions of the vinyl jacket. I feel like if they had simply scanned the CD cover, the end result would have been better. It's so bad that it truly looks like a bootleg release. Extremely lazy, especially at this price point.

Edited 7 months agoAnybody else had trouble getting the vinyl out of the inner cover (black vinyl) ? Also the photos on the cover look like they were taken with a 1mp camera - and the last track Babe is very low volume quiet compared to the rest if the tracks

2024...Time for a re-release expanded remastered edition with 2-3 extra discs filled with remixes. THIS release is very lame, 4 extra tracks???. This album was my childhood back in 1993. I thought a "30th anniversary" edition would've been on the cards!!!

Schade, irgendwie.
