Leon Bridges – Coming Home

Wish I read these reviews before I bought this. I agree the pressing is terrible. Mine has a lot of vocal distortion and, despite warning it multiple times, still sounds dirty and body. I could live with the noise if the vocals - which is really the main reason why I bought this album, were clear but the distortion and over modulation are so bad that it makes listening hugely frustrating.

A complete vibe. Always on and always appreciated. Great album.

Nothing wrong with my copy; I think the problem is with the overall mastering of the record. Sounds good, but has a forced "retro" 50's vibe to the sound engineering. Would have been better to have an all analog chain, mastered clean like a jazz record, but it's still okay for $30

I agree with the people that say this is a terrible pressing. I thought something was wrong with my system. Too bad, cuz Leon’s voice is angelic…gonna try and find another whole different pressing if there are any…

Any notes on this pressing vs. the other "Red Translucent" version? Why the large discrepancy in pricing? Are the standard black pressings better or worse? Do we just need a new pressing of this? One of the best modern Soul albums of the past decade certainly deserves a definitive pressing, I think.

What a shame. Amazing artist with amazing voice.. of the likes of Sam Smith, but this pressing doesn't do him justice at all. One of the worst sounding records in my 3k+ collection. Whether its the recording, pressing, mastering, mixing, I can genuinely say, stay away from the vinyl version. I feel I enjoy his songs more on Spotify via my bluetooth speaker vs. my quality rig at home.

Although they did go for a Lo-fi, oldies type sound on the album in general, the mastering quality for this vinyl is terrible. My disc was dirty from a lot of debris that came from the paper inners. Once it was cleaned in the Degritter, I had a beautiful looking record. Unfortunately it doesn’t sound beautiful. Another record that sounds like it was mastered in a tin can. Such a shame for a great album.

Flat and quiet, terrible pressing, sucks because I love this album. Leon has one of the best voices since Sam Cooke.

This pressing is not terrible as everyone says. The album is clearly intentionally noisy and lo-fi to be nostalgic. Vocals come through beautifully with grit. The harmonies on River are killer.

Does anyone have a version "Made in " with both labels on record showing side "A"?
