Notes
Inspired by Pete Tong's BBC radio show, plus pressure from Róisín, convinced them to release Dlugosch's as the key mix for the wider release later in the summer of 1999.

While I love the Herbert dub as everyone else does. Once I picked up a copy, I found myself liking the two Booker T mixes just a tad bit more, the dub in particular. -

The original is iconic but these 3 remix give a slightly better vibe . Can 7 Supermarket remix is a gem here -

As extensively said before, Herbert's Tasteful Dub is a true gem, rich is its simplicity of plain and extensively researched concepts. Perfect for introducing a set, perfect during the set, perfect ending the set. Perfect anytime. -

Shit record... You'll only find neverending disturbing voices and a dirty beat in all the long of the tracks... -

I feel blessed to just find this record at Extend And Play in Marseille, after few years looking for it. As said bellow in some previous comments, the Herbert's Tasteful Dub is an exceptionnal track, one of some best house remix ever. No doubt about it !
Theses days, vinyl has become more than ever a consumation goods for esthete middle class. In many ways, mostly due to new virtual turntables technologies, its interest degrows years after year.
However, it's ever a deep pleasure to get a record you looking for it for years, especially because sometimes there something biographic in a way.
I this case, I exactly when I discovered the Moloko Herbert remix. I came to Paris at fall, five years ago, for a Tama Sumo gig at Djoon club. I felt so enthousiast to hear her again. I discovered her with a friend few months before with a legendary closing at Panorama Bar at early summer and I saw her again few weeks later at the famous Robert Johnson club after a long trip alone by bus. In Paris we had some drinks with my friends before the night at Djoon. We've talked a lot again and with emotion of this Berlin night and how we felt engraved by this quite spiritual experience. A friend put the Herbert's Tasteful Dub and we immedialty noticed this track and its contagious groove.
Still stuck in the pandemic after two years with clubs closed again, this tune souvenir sounds to me as a life milestone. Now this record is like a permanent mark of friendship, crossed with music love and sense of belonging of humanity that only house music can bring, especially on the dancefloor in a noble sens. That's why sometimes, put hands on wax is not just reductible to a disctintion goods and is way more about personnal affective path and social links that embrace you. -

Boris Dlugosch's remix of this track took a song with a decent vocal but was utterly forgettable into an absolute house classic. Felt like everyone had the touch back then, but that repetitive guitar lick combined with Roisin Murphy's vocals like chocolate and marshmallow. Just absolutely unbelievable how something so simple has such staying power. The pinnacle of the disco/french house remix. -

"The guitars in the Boris Musical Mix come from an old Shadows song".
Hmm. Citation needed. Especially as this release credits the guitars to 'M.Bartel'. https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/Moloko-Sing-It-Back/release/7892 At least tell us which Shadows song you think it is.
