Edited 2 months agoThis is a great issue! At last, Transilvanian Hunger released in its true nature again. The Corona color is really great and the record sounds great, as all the other 30th anniversary Darkthrone records have! There is some noise here and there but like on the other 30th releases, nothing that takes away from the listening experience. The artwork is fantastic as well. A great replacement for earlier reissues. -

This is easily the best-sounding CD release of this album. It sounds slightly clearer, with better low-frequency definition and is completely lacking the high-frequency crackling distortion from Peaceville's original release. -
How does the record sound, compare to early represses? Is it worth it? -

referencing Transilvanian Hunger (LP, Album) VILE 43
The notes imply that there are two vinyl pressings from 1994 - one with the 'Norsk Arisk Black Metal' text and a subsequent one without. Is this correct? If not, I would suggest the notes should be revised to make it clearer. NotAfraidOfLove's comment seems pretty unequivocal that there was only one original pressing, all of which came with the offending text.
Would appreciate some clarification.
