Smashing Pumpkins* – Zeitgeist

As of April 2025, there are no legit pressings of this album on vinyl. Avoid. Could be worse. Cymbals up front as others have noted, entire channels seem to be off. Terrible mix. Some unofficial mixes are just the CD on vinyl; this is more like a limewire from 2007 on vinyl.

Glad to have this on vinyl. I love it so much that I bought a copy for my mate, just to find he sold his turntable.

If you find it cheap, it's ok. The album is great, the pressing is ok.

Quality not great. It’s pressed as an exceptionally low volume and you really have to crank it, but when you do it’s just a wash mix of sibilant ride cymbal. The original master was always compressed with the vocals heavily fronted in the mix but the unofficial vinyl pressing does it zero favours. I picked it up as a completist only. It was heavily overpriced for what it is.

I bought one for 20 euro´s at a music festival in belgium, the quality is good enough for the price.

Pressing is not so bad. But Sound quality is poor, the mix of way off and there’s a lot of surface noise. A very poor bootleg for € 23. My advice don’t buy or don’t pay more €15

My red one is very nice. But never saw a 2LP in my life.
