A meta review of the review section itself:
It’s extremely funny how early 2000’s reviews are of the music itself and recent reviews are nearly exclusively only reviewing the vinyl quality rather than the musical content. It’s almost as though most people in the 2020s fetishize the media over the music. Escapism, I think. People are responding to an increasingly insane and chaotic world by focusing on the minutiae of what they can control.

Thanks for listing this version! No issues regarding product quality and sound quality on my end. I bought from VMP directly. Some interesting notes…this version uses the same metalwork as the 2015 reissue as indicated by the shared matrix/runout numbers. So unless you’re interested in having a numbered red vinyl version, it likely sounds the same as 2015 iteration, which retails for less money. Be advised there are some reports of quality control issues with the 2015 version (see comments section). Overall, if you’re down with spending a bit more to have a limited red vinyl edition, you won’t be disappointed, but if you don’t want to spend almost double and don’t care about limited edition/vinyl color then 2015 is probably the way to go.

VMP just released a translucent red version of this album with the same runouts as this version and limited to 1000 copies. If quality control isn’t an issue I’d go with this version, especially because you get a booklet. VMP does not have the booklet, but does play beautifully.

Can vouch for the slight warp and oversized hole. Warped records are fairly routine these days given poor quality control, but the hole issue is unusual. It’s normally too tight for the spindle.

Sounds fantastic but is embarrassingly warped for a new record... Optimal Media GmbH must embrace a new era of pride and self-standards for its team. Put some love into your craft!

I've got two postcards with mine featuring the cover art. I can't if they came with the album or were just record store promo items.

I have the original 2000 pressing. Be warned: the yellow spine will fade when exposed directly to sunlight for long periods.
