Hey Jude is one of the most epic and hypnotic songs in Rock history. Once heard, never forgotten, and it's now just ingrained in our culture. The vibrancy is richer on 7 inch as John Lennon's harmony is crystal clear, you can almost hear his lips touching the microphone, giving the tune a humanistic quality. Paul McCartneys lead vocal is a thing of beauty, probably one of his best as he interpretes his own words with a perfect performance. Billy Preston's keyboard jumps out of the right speaker making this single a rich rewarding experience.
A perfect 7 inch single, every moment is sublime, a masterpiece.

I don't think this recording was issued in stereo until the "Hey Jude" LP was released. Nearly all Canadian 45's were still mono in 1968.

1968 single, both sides are non album tracks. The A-side is mastered at a noticeably lower volume than the B-side, likely due to its length.
Record plays with light surface noise, and there are a couple of skips on "Hey Jude". Includes generic white sleeve.

My copy of this single has the labels applied on the wrong sides, Hey Jude side plays Revolution etc.
