referencing Nommos (LP, Album) TAK 7096
Is the 1982 ver different than whats found on the later re-issue Early Electronic Works? I just purchased the EW and it states Nommos recorded 2009! Wtf. I stay the hell away from re-visited, re-worked and re-imagined compositions ie. the late Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream had a penchant for pulling this stunt. Any opinions? -

Edited 10 years agoJust recently I found a copy of the original Takoma pressing and was quite surprised at the differences. It seems that most of the subtle, dynamic upper-harmonics were lost in the mastering of this reissue. If you want to hear a true marvel of minimal electronics, listen to the original. If not...

If the artist isn't happy about it, I think it's not too far of a stretch to consider it a bootleg.
