My copy never came with a CD. Anyone else also not get the CD?

No real sound difference between this pressing and the CD.

I love this press sounds great all the way through, it’s solid. I had the 180g- gifted it to my sister for her bday. But hands down I would buy again. 🙂

For how soft and quiet most of the songs are, I was expecting some level of surface noise, and it is pretty apparent on the very quiet moments. Otherwise decent enough pressing

I own both this version and the 2016 remaster and I’m having a hard time deciding which I like more. They both sound absolutely wonderful and you really can’t go wrong with either but there are some noticeable differences. The original press is mastered a little quieter, you’ve gotta crank it up a little but it sounds very natural and how I’ve come to know the album.
The 2016 remaster is undoubtedly the better copy sonically, there’s more space between the instruments and it absolutely explodes out of the speakers, up there with some of the best sounding records in my collection. You can close your eyes and visualize yourself in the room with the band, yet the sound feels a little forced to me. It’s a little overly bright and loud, and I get some distortion at high frequencies on my copy. That said, there are 2 different listening experiences for however you want to enjoy this masterpiece.
If you want a laid back natural listen, check out this 2005 release. If you want to find out just how incredible the mixing on this album can sound, go for the 2016 release. I think I’m going to keep both, because personally I doubt I’m ever going to get tired of these 10 songs. What a masterpiece.

Sounds great, looks great, plays great. Nothing to complain about at all.

Dead quiet vinyl. It’s so silent that I fell sleep for 6 hours straight at the middle of the listening session.

Now, jokes apart, I’m looking forward to getting this one with a 3 months subscription of VMP. I hope that the stock lasts until December.

There’s definitely more pressings in between ‘05 and ‘16. Mine has a catalog for 2014 and came with the CD. Also, one track on my copy has a skip or a jump, depending on the VTF.

the best album ever written, recorded, and published. no doubt in my mind about it. Any snippet of a song on this album, any second, WILL make me stop dead in my tracks. an album of love, despair, melancholy, and more, bunched up into one. i love it so much.

favorite song off of this album has to be at the bottom of everything. I may only be saying this because it is the first song of bright eyes that i listened to. thanks the walking dead
