Genesis – Wind & Wuthering

I have been searching the best pressing of this album for year. This is it.
Dead silent, excellent sound.
Plays with excellent dynamic from the first minute (which is different from other pressings I have) and it only gets better.

Just played this version after a disappointing listen to the original 1st UK pressing.

This is a massive improvement. Excellent bass, clarity and soundstage. Great pressing and you can hear the full magnificence of this Genesis album.

Incredible pressing! Side 2 is a phenomenal show of force by the band.

No bass. Shrill and way too bright. Not the pressing to get. Just because it’s an older version is not the com to use on this one. This one is all high end. Zero depth.

This is my 4th version of this lovely record. Finally found the best. Until AP do a job on it, this is the best version IMO. It sounds so rich and detailed.

album brumeux , chargé d'émotion ou la chaleur de l'âme est un magma sous le froid et la grisaille de l'illustration. C'est le dernier grand disque de Genesis , comme une suite à "Trick of the Tail" parce qu'il est empreint des mêmes atmosphères mélancoliques. On y retrouve la force singulière du Groupe dans des mélodies aériennes qui semblent puiser l'émotion en vous pour la faire remonter à fleur de peau via la voix de Phil Collins , ou les mélodies des claviers de Tony Banks qui à travers de puissantes progressions dont il est orfèvre , semble inscrire ses lignes musicales dans une forme de continuité à la musique classique, qu' il 'évoque sans rien lui emprunter et c'est cela qui est fantastique. Cette édition remasterisée de 1994 est excellente

Hi I have a pressing I have never seen,on the actual label on side a there is a red stamp of a 5 sided star is this a promo stamp or rarity any help much appreciated it has the textured sleeve

I love this album, but this particular pressing is rather disappointing. I guess it's good on clarity, but at the expense of bass, so that it sounds thin and unpleasant. On top of this, the music volume is rather low and the surface quite noisy. To be fair, I seem to from my youth that the versions I listened to back then weren't great either. The length of the album maybe didn't help. In any case I'd recommend looking for better versions elsewhere.

I just love how dynamic this mix is. The quite parts are indeed quite and the loud ones explosive. But the mix is also very scooped and the midrange is toned down. You can easily "fix" it with your amps tone controls.

Great sounding pressing here like almost all German vinyl i have ever owned if cant get a uk original then this is next go 2 copy
