Alanis Morissette – The Collection

I was really looking forward to this LP. I try to source well made vinyl because as we all know it can get pretty bad when it isn't done properly. When it is done properly, even from a digital master, it can blow you away.

This one is flat. Not dynamic. Needs EQ on almost every track, very LF heavy. The mids are dead and lifeless. Highs sound like a blanket is covering everything.

A Shibata stylus brought out some life, but not enough. A collection like this would be awesome to see in the hands of Mobile Fidelity or Rhino High Fidelity and let Kevin Gray give it a go.

I imagine they just took the digital master from the original CD offering and didn't bother using a non-limited version? Who knows? It's a shame to hear such a talented artist's music sound so dull.

Picked this up at Target for $10 and it's a very noisy pressing even after a deep clean. Can't help but wonder if they know they're duds and that's why they're clearing them out.

Listening on an ATLP120XUSB with a VM95ML cartridge.

This is especially cool for including "Uninvited," a track I mainly bought this for. The overall sound quality is impressive, and the purple color that matches the cover art is a perfect touch.

Just picked this up at target for $9. Gave it a clean in my humminguru and there are constant clicks throughout. Mixing is very quiet as well

My copy is and most of all sounds flawless. Really good pressing.

Com o tom de cor das pétalas, mais, escuro do que rosa — como mostrado nas imagens —, acredito que essa edição de 2009 não exista. De resto o disco é maravilhoso, lindo, autobiográfico e consegue unificar tudo o que é de melhor da Alanis.

My copy sounds fantastic. So glad to own this, little to no surface noise! :D

I have a question: the limited clear vinyl is the same of the transparent grape one? Or are two different colors? Thank u

I bought my copy in-store rather than online. So it was spared the brutal heat of a USPS truck. It wasn't warped at all. The sound is amazing, clean, crisp and clear but ittedly, a little low in volume. i had to crank it up a bit. The color is stunning.
