Haven’t heard for about 25 years. Recently picked it up again and wow…so ahead of its time.

Without this, black dog, FSOL, boards, Lfo…all could sound different. Seminal.

For an electronic record from 1989 this have aged really well! It would work just as good today as it did back then!

Cleared out for £9 on HMV online last week. Got it.

I just picked this up for £19 at HMV the other day! Can't believe how much it's going for on here.

Amazing quality of sound! If you still thinking I highly recommend this release.

It took 2 deep cleans and 2 playthroughs but im actually delighted with this issue now. At first it was a click and pop fest and i just blamed the GZ pressing as it compared badly to my older MOV one. Perhaps some residue on the LP or my stylus was causing it, perhaps it was just the heatwave when i first tried it, but whatever, it now plays quietly and sounds as good as you could hope for. Is it 808's best album? I cant be sure but it features their most well known and loved track and once its been played a few times this stuff really gets in my head.

It's going for £50 on here, but you can probably still easily get it for £30 in store or online.

Nice colour (opaque pink), I was hoping when I first bought it would be the music on vinyl 2LP as to match with the cover on the site, but this single LP is pretty good considering this is the only other coloured pressing than the transparent blue mov pressing.

Does anyone know where this was pressed? Straight out the box it's come with a warp and scuffs/scratches on both records. Sounds like a GZ pressing perhaps?

identical re issue of the superb "Ninety" album release from 1989 with identical sound quality just a different pressed disc I own both and I actually bought this on cassette way when I was only about 17 played it back to back on loop before I discovered CDs ;) one of the first albums I bought brilliant even today!

I thought I would mention that the recording on this is excellent with all the remasters rereleases an re issues blah blah blah this is done right for sound quality.
I have the original 1989 CD and the 1998 re issue they are both identical this deluxe edition is no different its obviously louder but in a fresh way even with a spectrogram the levels virtually mirror the original release.
