“Baby Judy” still gets a lot of delightfully curious attention whenever I’ve played it. A superb, but pitifully underrated band!

Sealed copy for £8 here in the UK. Astonishing that this still sells for so little given the breathtaking post-punk dancefloor genius of the B-Side and its two extended tracks. Overture To Young Boys in particular is post-disco gold and the Italo-House style piano just nails it. This mini-album hasn't for some reason broken through with the superstar bearded DJs but once it does, the prices will rocket, especially if there's something like a Psychemagik edit or similar.

....a true alternative dancefloor killer...the extended version of "Baby Judy" is an example of modern disco filler, powerful bassline, distorted voice, and a ostinato drums pattern, grab it now before his value going upwards, I find it many years ago and sell it easily, I find another copy but I think this one remaining in my library for a long time.....

The Hawaiian Pups must surely qualify as one of the most underrated post-punk groups
to emerge in the early 1980's. I mean if you can't get with the playful yet cleverly magnetic
groove of "Baby Judy" on the fly, then there may be little hope for your inherent abilities to
see spot run, let alone identify classic 80's dance floor anthems that still have that magic
even when played today. Their sole EP can be easily had on the cheap so grab one before
the median value starts working it's way upwards.
